GWA Practice

Resilient Places & Community Integration

At the core of our practice is our commitment to realizing designs that are resilient, transformative, and focused on preserving cultural memory. Our work is grounded in the belief that architecture can transcend functionality—it has the power to inspire, connect, and reflect the identity of people and communities.

Narrative Architecture & Cultural Memory

We believe that architecture is more than buildings, it is storytelling brought to life. Every project begins with a question: what story does this place need to tell? Through thoughtful design, we weave form and emotion. Through human interaction, we create spaces that resonate with lives. And through context, we honor the past while shaping the future.

Heritage Preservation

We approach heritage preservation as a dialogue between past and present—honoring existing cultural, historical, and architectural narratives while thoughtfully adapting spaces for contemporary life. Through sensitive intervention, we ensure that meaningful stories continue to live on.

Affordable Housing Design

Our work in affordable housing is rooted in the belief that design excellence should be accessible to all. We create thoughtful, human-centered living environments that prioritize dignity, functionality, and long-term community well-being.

Adaptive & Accessible Design

We design spaces that evolve with the needs of their users, ensuring thoughtful environments that are inclusive, flexible, and barrier-free. By focusing on universal design principles, we create places that empower participation and belonging for everyone.

People

Based in Vancouver, Canada, our international team is in Ukraine and Bulgaria, contributing to the multi-cultural understanding, expertise and passion of our studio. We pride ourselves on our diverse, open-minded perspective, and receptive approach to inclusivity, which we carry through our work.
